Horns sample pack that includes construction kits?

I know construction kits are like cheating but they give me the most inspiration and structure to start with. Does anyone know of a sample pack with some Jazz/Funk/Soul horns that have a construction kit folder? Willing to trade my sample packs!

Dont know of any, but i sampled alot myself (still do)

I can recommend chopping your own samples from old jazz records.
But, they are the hardest ones to get right :p

Got a turntable but no interface so when I try t sample my records they sound real quiet. Sampling from vinyl is definitely the most rewarding though. The reason I asked for Construction Kits specifically is to help me get the structure down quickly. Using random samples takes a lot of time to find the right ones that fit the key of the tune.

If arent running an interface, what are you mixing on then?

And you could always sample first and build the track around it ;)

I just use XLR from my PreSonus E8s to the 1/4inch into my Macbook (balanced signal). My problem with building an entire tune out of one sample is repetition. I need to have more variation that just some fx on the main sample with modulation automation.

If there is an xlr on the output of your turntable, then that should do it.

Otherwise not, since it is unbalanced. Dependend in your interfaces input it might cause issue if your going form a stereo signal and line to a balanced input.
Most records are mono anyway, so i unbalanced lead outta do it as well.

Coming back to sampling, just sample every little bit you think would work in the entire track, and keep the original track as well..

Offcourse you can also flip it a bit, adjust a sample to your needs. Stretching, pitching you name it.

Laying out the samples first, in a rough way and building around it can help as well, especially if you need to switch scales, or if you need to build to entire different melody
