my friends send me stems of projects we have worked on in other DAWS. when i load the audio files into Reason it is never on time even when i enter the bpm we made the track in.
no matter what I do it is off a little. stretching the files do not work either, at least not correctly.
Please help!
thank you!

If you can make them to be sure that when they export, their audio starts at bar 3 for instance so you could set the tempo in reason -> de-activate time stretch -> Then zoom in on the audio files to make sure all the stems are lined up to bar 3 in Reason.

The stems, relative to one another cant get out of sync when exporting all of them at once into Reason. What can happen though is that their Daw might add a bit of silence at the start of the stem due to latency or what not.

So a quick recap: Zoom in on the stems, make sure the sound(s) start exactly at the given bar (or a bar at least); maybe you need to turn "snap" of the line them up perfectly.

Couple of things- you want to make sure the files were all consolidated and all start at 0

2) You want to create new session in Reason, change the BPM to whatever the new files are at, and THEN drag the files to the beginning of the timeline window in the sequencer-

I do this a lot, and this works for me
