Korg Kontrol 49 - Issue with using Pads and Keys separately

Hi all, I'm very new to this forum, it's good to be here. I have an issue with my controller keyboard and I was hoping someone could suggest a solution for me.

I use a Korg Kontrol49 keyboard with Reason for playing live, and I recently bought Reason 8 after using an older version for some time. My issue is that I am unable to find a way to trigger pads on the Kong module using the 16 pads on my controller, whilst playing another module, for example the NN-XT sampler, with the keys on my controller at the same time.

I am able to do the two things separately whilst using my controller as a master keyboard, but it means I have to switch back and forth if I want to either trigger the pads or play the keys, which is far from ideal in a live situation.

Has anyone else had this issue? I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the way of a solution.

Thanks!

mmm dont think there is a work around.

Reason identifies one controller as one identity, so you can use multiple keyboards and manually select wich one uses wich.

The only way i can see this working if your can some way or somehow split de keys part and the pads part of the controller into 2 different identities. But that should be programmed on korg's part.

Best thing to do in this case is contact Korg's customer support. Seeing there a big company with widely used products, youre probably not the only one facing this, or a similar issue
