New song

Hi everyone
This song, I have worked with for a while now. Has once again tried to mix up all the sounds in a good way. Put on a bit of reverb in the master section to get everything to blend together.

I downloaded an acapella and found the chords and arranged for my liking.

Suggestions for improvements regarding mixing and mastering received than welcome. Hard to get the song to crowd out, but assiduous wins.

Thanks for a great site, Reasons Forums

Cool song I like the arrangements very well done. You can hear the reverb that you put in and when using reverb in the master section it will tend to bring out front those things in the mix that you mixed to be out front but also bring with them everything else. It sounds good and has a very airy feel to the mix. I am wonder though what you mean when you say
"Hard to get the song to crowd out, but assiduous wins."

Thank you so much Matt.
Lacking that extra "pressure" "pumping" in the song, but it might sound good;)

I've been trying to pan a few tracks to get there own spaces also.
I use almost every song Predator, love the synth!
Now is the time for the next project :), will probably be a purchase of Vecto!

Thanks again, now I know that I'm on the right track

Hi,It's a good song, i enjoyed the listen.;)
A few suggestions...
Reverb on the vocal and backing vocal i would reconsider. Shorter reverbs push the vocal forward in the mix which would help the vocal take center stage more. Clever use of delays will bring in extra dynamics especially if you get the delay time right sync wise which can easily be done in reason. Not sure what version of reason you are using... BUT if you are using a version that has the SSL Mixing desk then i would gate the vocals. If your unsure how to do this just go to youtube and type in gating vocals in reason. Mix wise you will quickly get more drive in the music by eqing each track. Cutting all bass frequencies from any instrument that is not drum or bass guitar can really clean up any track making it sound cleaner/less muddy.I hope this helps. ;)

Catchy beat and great vocal performance. I agree about the reverb. Sometimes the best vocal lines hide behind the verb. Verb adds much to a sound, but it has to be used sparingly as to not upstage what it's being put on. Great tune.
