Reason 7 and Windows 10

Hello Reason Forums,

Just upgraded to Windows 10 and Reason 7 had been working fine until I attempted to sample a "what you hear" song using windows media player. Nothing will play from windows media player (or winamp, or any other player) while Reason 7 is open. In other words, Reason is not allowing sounds to be played from anywhere else while it is open. I am using a newer Creative Soundblaster Z card with the most up to date drivers. Reason 7 is also up to date. Here are my system specs:

Dell XPS running Windows 10
AMD Phenom II 2.8
10 GIG Ram
Creative Soundblaster Z (ASIO Compliant)
Zotac Geforce GTX 750 2 GIG
Reason 7.1.1

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, John.

There is a setting somewere asking if Windows can share the soundcard and release it from reason or not.

But, I'm not having any sound in Windows either, just in reason.

What I think it is is that, a lot of the drivers from different things need to be updated to win 10.
My third monitor isn't working half of the time either.

In W10 there are hardcoded keyloggers also. I have read what it all collects and sends somewhere. Horrible amount of data streaming often, God knows where. But the review isn't in English, otherwise I would post the link here. The guy who made the review wrote also that most of the spying functionalities cannot be disabled. Even Orwell would be surprised... ;)

So for me, W10 - no way. W7 is good enough so far. No need to upgrade and install gigabytes of spyware.

Thanks Osmose. Any idea where that setting is? I got a generic reply from Propellerheads basically saying its my sound card drivers.

Also, I know Windows 10 is not popular but I don't wish to turn this into a OS discussion. Does anyone else have any suggestions? This seems like the best place to get Reason help.

Im not really sure, either it is in reason itself, or somewere when you click on "properties" of your soundcard under "devices".

But when you close Reason, wmp and everything else plays?

Im having the issue that i dont hear anything at all from windows, the majority of the time then. So on every boot i gotta re-install the soundcard from device manager and hope it'll work (50% of the time)
