Static in Reason

I'm noticing static in Reason 10. I didn't have that issue before I upgraded laptops. I went from a Dell Intel Dual Core 8gb 350 gb 7200rpm drive to a Dell i5 16gb with two SSD drives. My last system had 3 USB ports so i used one for the mouse. This system only has 2 USB ports so i use the ESATA port for my USB wireless mouse. Occasional static seems to happen when I'm moving the wireless mouse around. Do you think the mouse could be causing the static? Or the fact that it's in the ESATA port? Any suggestions or feedback will be appreciated.

I would try and put the mouse on one of the computers USB ports and see if the noise stops, if so it's your ESATA port maybe not liking your mouse.
