Switching to a New Laptop........HELP

I moved from laptop to desktop this weekend
How I did it:
1. Installed Reason on my new desktop
2. Authorized new desktop (deauthorized old laptop on Propellerheads website), so you dont have to login every time you want to work in Reason.
3. When opening the project I am working on, a lot of sounds couldnt be found, since they were on the old laptop. So make sure that every file (wav., rex, whatever, is copied to your new desktop)
When I got the message those sounds couldnt be found, I choose -replace- and searched for the sounds I copied from my old laptop to the new folder on my new desktop.
Done!
One more important thing I bumped into was that the output sound was not as good as from my old laptop.
Since tweaking the integrated soundcard (on motherboard) didnt do the trick, I am looking for a soundcard to upgrade my system.
