Typing In Values in Devices

Hey, Everyone! I'm new to the forum. I've been using reason for years and just upgraded to 8.3. One of the things I was hoping they included with the latest version was the ability to type in values on devices (i.e. - to adjust the pitch for one of the pads on my kong, I'd like to type in the value as opposed to having to turn the knob).

I know there's ways around this (like just adding an automation line and punching in the value that way), but I was wondering if anyone knows if this is possible do directly on the instrument, effects, etc interfaces?

I'm sure it's not, but just thought I'd throw it out there because it's something I've really been hoping for for a while now!

Thanks You,

Don't think it's possible either, but dubble clicking a knob and then setting a value would be a good idea I guess.

But do know, when you hold down shift when turning a knob, you'll get more accurate

Thanks for the note Osmose! I didn't about the Shift + Click for accuracy. There is a setting in preferences that allows you to adjust the accuracy of the knobs, but does nothing for the sliders :( I set it to "Very Precise" and that's helped at least with the knobs. Everything usually increments by 1 unit, rather than jumping 2 or 3 at a time (sliders still not precise).

I've used other DAW's that allow you to type it in manually and I guess it's just easier sometimes. Not a huge deal, as changing the setting in preferences seems to work fine for the most part. I guess I'm just being a bit of a control freak! :p

Just in case anyone wants to know where the setting is (it's very obvious):

EDIT --> Preferences --> [General Tab] --> "Mouse Knob Range" (First setting from the top in the "Editing" section).

Thanks again!

ye it would be helpfull if you would be allowed to do so. By holding shift you can do increments of 1, but it kan be a choir still :p
