Who uses BLOCkS in their arrangements ?

I've not used blocks myself YEt ! but I can see creative potential using them. Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) using Blocks? Do you use them regularly or occasionally ?

i never use them. i don't see the point.

They are supposed to help with arrangements.. But I can imagine they confuse things a little also.

I'm going to have a play about with them on my next track, before I write them off, because saying something is crap without knowing about it would be foolish wouldn't it !

I lot of people do not understand that you can record in Blocks and by doing this you can easily record many takes in different was with all at the same tempo.

Now after you have done this you can now use Boxes to mix and match, listen to and arrange your ideas. It truly is an amazing feature.

Well yes and no.. occasionally I have, but I tend to get annoyed by the fact that I have to go in and out to make changes.

Guess it just work as well in the style I tend to produce, but I can surely see some people getting good use out if it with dance music and such

I can imagine, like Osmose said, that it can get a bit frustrating going in and out of blocks.. But I think if that if I can master how the blocks work, it looks like they could be extremely handy.. Think chord sequences.
